Notes on a new novel. Twin brothers take a couple of girls out for dinner. Edwin, is the eldest by 2 minutes and a few seconds. He thinks this time difference gives him the edge on life, and his brother Samson. They were friends when young, but now, in their early thirties, they often quarrel. Recently, after a Family get together, their father gave them a good talking to. So, now, they have made up, on the surface, and act like twins usually do, like brothers should, friendly, happy. They have decided to go out togethet more often and, ad neither is currentl married or has a regular partner, the contact with Ellenor and Trixie was established. These two girls are siaters, but not twins. The dinner date is set and all four are enjoying the meal. The problem is that both brothers are finding the petit, demure Ellenor somewhat boring, whereas Trixie, who takes after her youthfull, drummer father, whose ways are somewhat looser than a father of a twenty two year old daughter, should be. Trixie is flamboyant, bright, and totally at odds with her twenty nine year old sister Ellenor, who takes after her mother, in that she is quiet, sweet and shy. Does this sound like the premise of a reaonable story? I shall ponder on it. Evelyn

  1. Hi Evelyn I have been a silent observer but intend to remedy that! Just for the record when I was 13 (sooooo long ago) I worked a paper round and marked up the papers for twin brothers married to twin sisters and all living and working in the same business!!! Yes your brothers story has got legs in my opinion, good luck. x

    • Thankou Gillswriting. I too have been mostly following your blog. Sometimes I am a bit busy, but you understand. Even busier now as have ben asked to co-author a childrens’ book. Writing ir re-writing poetry for said book, eAly days and health issues are a problem. Loose your novel upon the uncharted seas, hopefully ( using this metphor)it will find a safe and profitable harbour. As with mine, i need to complete editing but, always a but these days.
      Take care,
      Evelyn
